8 reasons why being alone is better than being in evil marriage

And none of them have to do with hating men.

There are lots of articles and blog posts that tell you being with the next guy is better than being with your ex-guy. But these articles basically just assume that you have to be with a guy to be happy.

Yeah, if you sell your old car, you probably need to have your new car at the ready. But relationships aren’t Priuses.

Take it from someone who went from being single for eons — eons! — then got miserably married , and then became single again. At this point in my life, I wouldn’t touch a new relationship with a ten foot pole, and I have some pretty good reasons for that. (And none of them have to do with hating men.)

1. Your time is your own.

The 12 percent of my day that’s my time (as in, not time with my kids) is really my time. I don’t have to consult someone else about how I spend it.

Nobody’s waiting for me to spend it with them. If I want to call my best girlfriend , I do. If I want to paint my toenails, I will. If I want to watch an entire season of Magnum, P.I. because I can’t actually go to Hawaii or have Tom Selleck, then I will.

2. Having an actual social life outside of a relationship is no longer impossible.

Remember when (or maybe you’re still there) you had to choose between being with friends and being with your man? Either your friends complained they never saw you, or your man complained that your friends were more important. Either way, you lost with somebody.

If you’re not in a relationship, you get to have a social life that doesn’t involve balancing friends with man.

Now, you just have to balance time with Amanda versus time with Kelly, and listen to Kelly whine when you’d rather go to the farmer’s market with Amanda. But geez, Kelly’s such a skank, anyway. Unfriend her.

3. There’s nobody else tearing down your self-esteem.

“Have you gained a couple of pounds, babe?” Yeah, nobody’s going to say that. You know why? Because you only get naked in front of yourself, and you’re just too damn considerate to make a remark like that.

4. Being alone is cheaper.

So many budget categories grow exponentially when you’re in a relationship — gifts, cards, eyebrow shaping, picking up the tab now and then, new lingerie. Gah!

When you’re single, you can spread those bikini wax appointments out a little bit if you need to. Or, skip them altogether and choose some other form of self-torture, like joining a book club.

5. You control the bedspread.

Okay, minor thing, but they’re flowery and pretty. And they’re always dry, unless you’re careless with your chamomile tea.

6. Drama-free is the way to be.

Sure, there are people who have drama-free relationships. Ironically, you’ll find them on Netflix, under “Drama.” No relationship, no drama. Except for teenagers, and your best friend and her drama, because she didn’t read this post.

7. You can plan your week in pen.

You don’t have to include the man, or wonder if you should include the man, or wonder of you should write your goals and plans in pencil because the man might vaporize next week.

8. Being happy alone gives you the time and perspective to wait on the right relationship.

It’s self-explanatory.

I’m not against relationships. I am, in fact, one of the most ridiculous romantics I know. I believe in all the things, but I’ve learned that being completely single can be peaceful, simple, and downright happy-making.

“I’m not okay. I’m so disappointed…They [Zylofon] were in charge of the programme and promoted it on their social media platforms. Arnold himself announced the event on Peace FM, and I was even interviewed on Zylofon FM prior to the event,” ' Angry' Joyce Blessing said on Power FM.

Bishop Obinim is a false Prophet - Rev Obofour

Clash Of The Angels: Rev Obofuor Says Obinim Should Step Aside Because He Is God ’s First And Only Angel

You ’ d think “ beef” would be left for the Gbee Naabus and slay queens to chew , but now we have so - called “ men of God” going at each other to prove who is who in the spiritual realms. We all know of Obinim as the self-acclaimed “Angel of God ” , but he has a strong contender for the title . The man who recently made waves by performing Shatta Wale ’ s “Taking Over ” in his church is saying Obinim is just a counterfeit angel and that he ( Obofuor) is the “ realer no” .

The Kumasi -based Prophet , Asanteman Bofuor, better known as Reverend Obofuor, General Overseer of Anointed Palace Chapel has denied claims made by Bishop Obinim that he ( Obinim) is his ( Obofour) spiritual father and that he does not have any Ghanaian man of God as a spiritual father since they are all evil beings, excluding himself , of course . Reverend Obofour is the owner of TV channel Sweet TV and he took to the station to issue a disclaimer cautioning the General Overseer of International Godsway Church ( IGWC ) Bishop Obinim against making false claims in a viral video where Obinim boasted about being the spiritual father of Reverend Obofour.

According to Reverend Obofour he doesn’ t have any personal relationship with Obinim and they only met once on a business flight where Obinim invited him to pay him a visit at his residence in Accra. He vehemently dissociated his church and brand from anything concerning Obinim and accused the latter of being a false prophet , saying that Obinim’ s days are numbered. According to Obofuor, Obinim stole the “angel ” title from him when he begun service in order to draw attention to himself and stated emphatically that he ( Obofour) is the first and only recognized angel of God , and any other person claiming to be an angel is nothing but a fake liar.

Shatta Wale used Blood money for his 2 mansions - Shatta Michy

Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale and his mistress, Michy, have been accusing each other of assault since yesterday.

In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale alleged that Michy chased had him with a knife.

“When a woman chase you with a Knife. DAWG AM …..!!!!!! Boys be wise ….Am done … The wise will understand!!!!!!!!”

In other post, he noted that whenever he had a problem with Shatta Mitchy, she would feign an accident by cutting herself with sharp objects just to create the impression that he is the bad person.

He added that Shatta Michy slapped him in the presence of her mother.

In one of the posts, Shatta Michy wrote: “ From a one corner ghetto to 2 houses . Shall we all know how the second one came about? God hates ungrateful people. Accept your faults, or accept that u have a problem and seek help.

”Michy in response to Shatta Wale’s accusations called him a hypocrite who would abuse her and come on social media to seek public sympathy.

From this post, it seems Shatta Michy is sending across a message that Shatta Wale had acquired his mansions through some ‘dubious’ means.

It could be deduced from Michy’s post that being a former ghetto guy, Shatta Wale’s ‘speedy’ acquisition of his two mansions is of a serious concern.

Within a spate of three years, Shatta Wale had build two multi-million dollar mansions in East Legon, a plush area in Accra.

Wale himself has highly spoken of his mansions, claiming that he is the only celebrity to own 2 swimming pools.

But Michy seems to have blown the cover of Shatta Wale’s ‘questionable’ mansions.

She went on to reveal that Shatta Wale has serious problems, and ‘advised’ him to accept the fact that he has a problem, or seek help.

It is not clear what is causing this fight between the couple that has professed love for each other all over social media in the past and quiet recently.

VIDEO: 'Fresh boy' Bawumia has suddenly become an 'old man' – Mzbel mocks veep

Songstress, Mzbel, has taken to social media to mock Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and other members of the Akufo-Addo government.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Mzbel was seen in a car with some guys describing Dr Bawumia as a “fresh boy” who has turned into an "old man."

According to Mzbel, the Vice President is no longer the "fresh boy" he used to be because of the workload at the presidency, which has been worsened by the pressure on the NPP government to fulfil their numerous campaign promises.

For the singer and her friends, it was funny that Dr Bawumia who labelled former President John Mahama incompetent is now unable to withstand the heat and prove to Ghanaians that he is competent.

“ They were always saying Mahama is incompetent and now that they’ve come they can’t see anything. They were bragging about working under Kufuor and thus know more. They thought it was easy,” Mzbel and her friends mockingly said.

“ Now Bawumia fresh boy has turned into an 'Oldman' at once. The pressure is too much. His hair has turned grey unexpectedly,” she is heard saying in Ga.

The group did not only deal with Dr Bawumia, as they jumped on President Nana Akufo-Addo himself and Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta.

While they described President Akufo-Addo as 'King Promise', they referred to Mr Ofori Atta as 'James Bond.'

In the explanation of Mzbel and her friends, President Akufo-Addo deserved the title because he was very fond of making unfeasible promises and Mr Ofori Atta was James Bond, because for talking about the sale of treasury bills and bonds.

“ We’ll call him [Akufo-Addo] King Promise and the Finance Minister James Bond. He’s always looking for bonds and now he’s even bringing China bond.

“You guys have gotten what you’ve been looking for. The numerous promises you voted for. Now you want to protest against the government for not fulfilling them. For the where?" Mzbel added.
